  • As a friend of Ashley's, you disgust me. Please stop trying to hurt her more. Can't you see she needs support? She's obviously in a bad place. What if it were a friend/family member of yours?

  • Ash's friend:

That's very nice that you would go through the blogosphere looking for Ashley's name so you can defend her racism and false report. She's in jail! Do you know why?

I am glad you are disgusted. Now you can join the millions of us who are disgusted by your friend.

  • I did not intend for my comment to be a personal attack, and I would appreciate the same civility. I know she's in jail, and I know more about why than you do. I'm not criticizing everyone who says something bad about her, as I can understand, considering what's been reported, but this "letter" felt different because you claim it to actually be written by her.

So, I'm not searching to defend Ashley in every blog. As I was searching for any new tidbits of info on her location, etc., I saw something about a letter and was surprised. I'm just trying to help my friend. Not by bashing the Ashley bashers, but by actually trying to get her out of jail and in contact with people who care about her.

So, bash on. That's not why I'm here. This fake letter surprised and disturbed me enough to leave a comment, but now back to business...

  • This site often engages in satire and humor, particularly in this very odd presidential election. Ashley has now made herself a major player in this drama, and a fake letter seemed in order to me.

I am sorry you were surprised and disturbed, but I will continue to bash.

Good luck getting your friend the help she needs. I would suggest she start with a name change. Everyone remembers Tawana Brawley, and everyone will remember Ashley Todd. (I'm not being a dick here. I'm serious.)

  • I'd bet good money the "B" is backwards cause she prepped herself using a mirror...

You disgust her, WMJ, but not personally.

  • P.S. You should rewrite the letter with every "b" backwards.

  • I'm a white man and I can see Ashley Todd is a racist! Read her letter from jail...black this and black that...what a sad joke of a human being. This just exposes what I have seen here in Wisconsin, conservatives are scared...scared of everyone and everything. If they don't understand something they fear it, lie about it and believe their own lies. Wake up and smell the BS....and fear, fear, fear while the rest of us go broke.

  • What's said are the number of people who have already decided to vote for McCain strictly because of her story.

  • What's 'sad' is that friends shouldn't let friends spell.

  • She's home. Yay. Have fun with the bash-fest, people. She obviously has bigger things to worry about now. Sucks to be her, but it's true... Poor Ashley. : P
