He Don't Feel Like You Do
Say what you will about Peter Frampton, who rocketed to international fame in a matter of weeks in the 70s and plummeted even faster, but the man knows how to deal with a heckler, as demonstrated in this video. Frampton points to an audience member, saying, "Fuck you" three times - in song.
I've always thought someone should use Frampton's talkbox in an ad.
(Yes, I know many guitarists used the talkbox before him.)

Maybe the Logan’s Run model wasn’t such a bad idea after all?

I saw an interview and performance from him on some morning show and was impressed with his humor, common sense and guitar playing. I couldn't give a crap for him at the time he was big, though. He's very talented, but I get the impression he was manufactured by the labels at the time. Seemed sort of a reluctant front man to me. More power to him for being real about it in phase two of his career.

You're right - he was a reluctant frontman, always preferring to be a guitarist. His rise after the LIve double disc was justified, but the resulting management fiascos (Sgt Pepper's, the Rolling Stone cover shoot, I'm in You) spelled his death. Nice to see him back as himself and winning a Grammy for a purely instrumental album.

Great reference and nice research!
