Everyone's a Creative

No, I mean it. Everyone really is. In some way or another, everyone is a creative. But in this business, it'd sure be nice if there was a way to keep everyone's opinion out of every job. Production by committee...you know the result...a watered-down and usually ineffective piece. Client's always right? Rarely.

Bigger is Better

And I thought I recognized that multicultural group from somewhere.

  • If at least two of these people were wearing stethoscopes, then it would be my workplace. Just once I'd like to peer over a doc's shoulder during surgery & say something like "Hmmm, maybe you should think about trying this size blade instead...but hey, I'm no surgeon."

  • I have a sign in my office for clients and all to see: The client has the right to make the wrong decision. I want them to see it...I ask them, "if you know how to do this, then why did you call me?" I say it kindly, but it does tend to shut them up.

  • That photo cannot possibly be depicting advertising executives. What agency has that much diversity — and a White janitor?!
