Grocery List

On the fridge we keep a whiteboard to write down whatever needs restocking or the necessary ingredients for the evening's dinner. Family members know to put down their wants/needs as they run out of stuff. Then I take a picture of it and that's my list at the store. Much easier than typing a list on the phone. So yesterday I put these items on the list and now we are back from Sonic and everyone feels like hell.

I can rarely read a book without wishing I was as good a writer as the writer writing it, and hopefully learn something about style and the craft, but Twain takes it to another level and makes me want to hang up writing altogether and maybe just study to become a riverboat pilot.

Wait Your Turn, Ugly

Nature teaches us that the pretty go first. Here, a beautiful, graceful hawk enjoys a roadkill squirrel under a tree on my street while the hideous, disgusting buzzard hopes for leftovers.

Some people say squirrels are cute. Agreed. They're so precious when they're being eaten by hawks.
