Let The Biker Wars Begin
As I suspected, the upcoming Touchstone Pictures release Wild Hogs, will be a giant product placement vehicle for Harley Davidson. (vehicle...heh.)
Beware, Harley: Market backlash will soon be upon you.
Hey, Indian, this could work in your favor. Granted, you have a long way to go to catch the big HD, but you can't buy this sort of negative press for your competitors.
Indian is gearing up. Today they launched their new website.
The Anthony Hopkins film, "World's Fastest Indian," was premature, released before Indian could start cycle production. It did poorly at the box office, too.

Seen it.
It was called "The Three Amigos". And "City Slickers". And "Three Men and a Harley."
Even the formula has become formulaic.
Three not-so-funny guys (okay, in this case four, but I keep forgetting John Travolta is human.) out of their element. Hype ensues.
Movie A) becomes a cultural touchstone -- or more likely
B) goes to DVD by 4th of July.

Also starring Ray "Where Are They Now" Liotta as "Jack," the leader of the bad guy biker gang, the Del Fuegos.
Casting was well thought out, though.
"We'll get John Travolta for the old chicks, William H. Macy for the 'art' crowd, Martin Lawrence for the African American crowd and Tim Allen for the...for the...not sure yet."

"Bikesploitation." Why the fuck didn't I think of that?
What's the over on weak "Easy rider" references?
