A Random Sampling of Random Visitors

Here's a snapshot of yesterday's drop-ins at Where's My Jetpack?

Average visitor is likely a male, in need of transportation, be it a jetpack or a motorcycle (not a Harley). He is also in the market for porn of the Indian or Xena variety. And he could use a burrito.

I'm sure all of these searchers were quite disappointed in my offerings. Search is not an exact science. It's obviously very much a hit and miss exercise in many cases, even when you've got giants like Google and Technorati working for you.

  • haha wow, this is great - how do you know who visits your site? this is probably common practice, but i'm rather new to the blog world...

  • Since you're on Google for your blog already AK, you can just sign up for Google's analytics service using your current user name and password. They'll provide you with the code to drop in the head of your blog template.

Oh, and then - they will own your soul and see all that you do.

  • sitemeter.com will also give you the traffic info you need for free. Althought they only list the last 100 visits at any one time.(Pay for the upgrade to get unlimited site info naturally.) But they do show traffic and search patterns, stuff like that.
