Joe The Plumber - The Real Story
Thank God for YouTube. Here's the full "confrontation" between Joe The Plumber and Barack Obama. Sean Hannity will never let you see this.
There goes your "socialist" argument, Right Wing Propagandists. For almost six minutes, Obama explains to Joe The Plumber the intricacies of his tax plan. It's long and boring, but it shows how insane this campaign has become, where the phrase "spread the wealth around" is lifted to prove that Obama is a Commie.
Gimme a fuckin' break.
Straight Talk, my ass, Johnny. You're a sad, little shadow of the imaginary character you used to pretend to be.

I watched the whole thing, and it reminds me of when the guy at the car dealership tries to convince me that financing is really better than just buying car outright. Obama's argument that his system will help small business grow into a higher tax bracket faster is not especially consoling to me. But the key question, is what is that guy mouthing in the cutaway about 3/4 through.

Great clip. Or anti-clip, the entire thing. Crazy to see this long intelligent discussion get bastardized into one narrow sound bite.
Reminds me of what Colin Powell said recently: All taxes are a form of wealth redistribution, because individuals need to contribute to what groups of people really need. Conservatives who don't like that should feel free to build their own roads, schools, hospitals, police and fire departments. And when the next hurricane approaches, be sure to flee over that giant steel bridge you built yourself with your anti-tax dollars ;)
